Speakers and program.

The event gathered professionals from the area of multidisciplinary design, in particular, the invited speakers from the U.S. Air Force Research Lab:

  • Dr. Raymond Kolonay
  • Dr. Scott Burton

presented the implementation of a real-time multidisciplinary optimization of an air vehicle using the SORCER platform.

Additionally Dr. Paweł Rubach from Sorcersoft.com gave an introduction to the open source SORCER and demonstrated the interactive engineering tools that support Multidisciplinary Design Optimization. A detailed program can be found below.

All presentations were recorded. The recording of Dr. Rubach’s presentation along with the slides may be found here. To access other materials and recordings please drop as en email at: info@sorcersoft.com and we will send you the link and necessary credentials.

Further Steps and Collaboration

One of the goals of this tutorial was to initiate a research and development cooperation among its participants and interested parties. This idea is currently being realized by the forming of a working group on MDO that aims at:

  • Fostering the knowledge sharing on MDD/MDO
  • Cooperation on complex real-live cases
  • Writing a proposal of a joined project (i.e. EU H2020 grant)
  • SORCER+ development and application to selected real-live use cases.

We would like to invite all interested parties, both from academia and the industry to join the collaboration. If you are interested feel free to contact us (contact info on http://sorcersoft.com/contact/).

Participants

The Tutorial attracted the attention of many business and academic organizations from various areas. Among our guests were representatives of:

  • U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory
  • GE Aviation
  • Warsaw University of Technology
  • EC Engineering
  • Military University of Technology
  • CD-Adapco
  • Linköping university
  • AGH University of Science and Technology
  • Polish Space Science Research Centre
